The agenda

In 90 minutes you’ll discover

Everything below comes from twelve years of putting teachers into Italian classrooms.

  1. The certificate that actually gets you hired

Which certificates Italian schools accept — and why most cheap online ones get binned.

  2. What English teachers in Italy really earn

Honest salary ranges for schools, business English, exam prep and online work.

  3. The visa route nobody explains properly

How non-EU citizens can live in Italy for a year and legally work — in plain English.

  4. How our graduates walk into jobs in Rome

The careers service, school database and graduate community behind every hire.

  5. Your questions, answered live

Bring anything — nothing is off the table.

Your host

Miriam Levie — founder of TEFL in Italy

Miriam left the Netherlands more than twenty years ago and never came back. She has lived and worked between Spain and Italy ever since — as a language teacher, then teacher trainer, and since 2014 as founder of TEFL in Italy in Rome (her husband is Roman, so the city chose her). She also runs TEFL in Malaga and has helped hundreds of people trade their office job for a classroom with a view. She speaks five languages and will happily tell you which Italian words you need first.
